It is gratifying to see that facebook is not resting on their laurels and that they are actively seeking to better their offering, and specifically to make it easier to target specific geographic locales and demographics. Facebook advertising is becoming very popular because of the relative inexpensiveness of it, coupled to the fact that you can really seriously define your demographics.

I do not feel that this new aspect of facebook fan pages will affect facebook ads much, as this is more like the cherry on top than the cake itself, if you get what I mean ;-)

We're only seeing the beginning of the facebook ad phenomenom, and it would be wise to start paying serious attention to it if you are serious about marketing your products or services online.

We found your post after stumbling on this feature on our Fan Page. As we have fans from around the world, it has been an essential tool in helping us connect with those fans - in their language. We are excited to think of the future potential of these tools.

The only question here is the readiness of FB for the result. Plus if they'll be able to meet all the demand of its users in the near future. Of course, users will not be contented with this feature alone.
