Sacrifice: the Untold Taboo of Entrepreneurs

Sacrifice: the Untold Taboo of Entrepreneurs

Are you willing to do what others wouldn’t ever consider?
Being an entrepreneur isn’t as easy and glamorous as it looks.

Why do you want to be an entrepreneur?

You want the fame? Not good enough.

You want to be rich? That’s empty.

You’re smart? That’s nice.   Einstein said that everyone is a genius in some way.

Want to be your own boss? You’re going to have a harder boss than ever – yourself.

Are you willing to put it all on the line?

Maybe, but how about doing it without a net? Peter Shankman did.  And I doubt you have the same resolve.
Then again, every now and again, a few of you surprise me.

Putting your money where your mouth is.

In a recent conversation with a prospective client, my contact that’s new to his position did something amazing.
He was willing to pony up half of the money all on his own.  Just because he believed in the idea so much. He’s essentially insuring that he is a linchpin.

The illusion of safety and counting your blessings

Many folks go in house for the “safety.”

Let me tell you folks: safety is an illusion.

You don’t have to be a hero to get things done, but you do need to sacrifice.

Above all you must appreciate everything you’ve been blessed with in life.

Worrying that someone else has it better than you?  You’re doing it wrong.

Chances are you are so blessed in ways that you take for granted.  If you’re able to read this blog post, you are among the 50% of the world even has Internet and are at least semi-literate in English.

What are you willing to sacrifice?
