Blogging in the Middle of the Night

Blogging in the Middle of the Night

Interesting concept, isn’t it? For me, it is one of the best times to blog. Granted, I usually get up early and it means that I lose sleep, but with everything going on in the world, sometimes this is what needs to be done. Don’t recommend doing it too often, or you’ll be heading for social media burnout. The middle of the night is a source of ideas for me, when all is quiet in the world.

While what seems most of the world has been caught up eating and shopping and having a grand old time (not that there is anything wrong with that, and hey, some even have Boxing Day to look forward to!), I’ve been coming up with some exciting new things, namely:

A preview of things to come. Stay tuned.

I sometimes blog very early in the morning when there are no interruptions.

Night is the time of inspiration for me. I have plenty of time during the day but I only start working at night, so the post is about me :)

P.S. Thank you for sharing terraminds – looks like I need to explore it!

Late at night is the best time to blog for me. The quiet and assurance of not being disturbed really helps. Who says you can’t brew coffee at night!

@1389: yes, early morning is good as well!

@Ann Smarty: glad you liked it, and you’re welcome for the terraminds service – looks to be worlds of fun! :)

@Clickfire: coffee might be pushing it, but I hear that it sometimes works to have some coffee right before a nap.

True! Night is the time when a lot of things thro’ my mind all about doing something new…but how many times I’ve blogged at 3am???? God knows!!!!

I agree, it’s actually in the middle of the night right now (Norway).

Night time is the only time I get to catch up on blog reading. In fact it is part of my nightly ritual. Like you I find my inspiration and the majority of my work getting done during “quite hours.” It seems that I get into the groove later in the night and pound out work. Sometimes working late at night can prove to be a little more careless. But I bet there a lots of people like us!

@Kumaran: hey, sometimes it is when to get things done.

@Jens: thanks for stopping by from Norway!

Late at night or early morning. I just depends on what is going on and when. It just needs to be quiet with no one around to interrupt the flow.

I especially like to work in the early hours,it is so peaceful.I can get more done.
Good to know there are others out there in the night.

  • http://www.nowsourcing.com/blog brian

@Chris Estes: Agreed. The twilight hours can sometimes be like walking on the edge of a blade. Sometimes it is so tempting to keep reading on and on and tweak our posts that we lose focus and become too tired. If you find that you just aren’t being productive at night, try going to bed early and starting up earlier in the morning. Sometimes this has a better effect for people.

@TzuVelli: Sometimes quiet time is all you need.

@Orosurf: Yes, many of us are out there. Late night blogger support group, anyone? :)

I also prefer blogging and writing articles at night but do be careful because sometimes we tend to write poor articles when it is getting late at night.

  • http://www.nowsourcing.com/blog brian

@SEO Consultant: good point. Sometimes it may be best to let your creativity flow during the night, but it may be more prudent to edit and publish first thing in the morning.

The day is for work, there is no time to blog. But the night we can do what we choose. See you all in the early hours of the morning.

I always enjoy blogging at night when the night is dead silent. That’s when the creative juice starts flowing.
