NowSourcing Internships

NowSourcing is an infographic design agency based in Louisville, KY. Our clients range from Fortune 500 companies to small local painters. We offer a variety of internship options to help you gain hands-on experience with all aspects of the growing internet marketing industry. As an intern you will have the opportunity to learn about content marketing and the value of building lasting relationships.

The internet provides an opportunity for consumers to conveniently interact directly with companies in real time, and infographics are one of the tools they use to start those conversations. As an intern at NowSourcing you will learn this by doing You’ll gain real world experience by utilizing the skills and techniques we will teach you to help make a difference for our company and for our clients. More importantly, NowSourcing will help you get a head start on your future career.

The internship consists of 240 hours total, which averages to 20 hours per week for an overall time period of 3 months. We offer flexible scheduling and are able to work around your time constraints. Our office is open from 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.

The internships are paid, and may result in employment after the duration of the intern period. Our available internship positions are listed below.

Infographic Promotion Intern

Flash our infographics all around the internet world.

    Infographics are awesome, but why do all that work if no one sees them? As a Promotions Intern your job is to find the right people to share our infographics with so that our clients get maximum exposure. It’s kind of like Instagramming tacos, but the tacos are infographics and Instagram is the entire Internet.
     
    Process:

  • Use wordpress and other content management systems to upload infographics and content
  • Use Buzzstream to keep track of infographic links and promotion progress
  • Write original content to accompany infographics
  • Use Google Sheets to track content assignments
  • Research people and sites that are relevant to an infographic’s content
  • Pitch infographic to potential publications/sites/blogs
  •  
    Requirements:

  • If the internship is fulfilling college credit, you must comply with all school requirements
  • Competent writer and researcher
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Good reputation online
  • No posting of content on personal social media profiles that would conflict with professional image
  • Interest in a wide variety of topics, from cryptocurrency to virtual reality to eyeglasses
  • Must bring your own laptop

    Research Internship

    Research Interns learn the ins and outs of internet research, from finding legitimate sources to crafting a compelling narrative. Our infographic subjects can range from cryptocurrency to dementia care, so someone who can quickly change topics and continue finding relevant and trustworthy information is a must. Though most research will be for infographic production, some may be for industry news and competition analysis. Research Interns may also be involved with blog writing internally as well as content creation for clients.

    Requirements:

    • Total of 240 hours – averages to 20 hours per week
    • Must bring your own laptop
    • If the internship is fulfilling college credit, you must comply with all school requirements
    • Competent writer and researcher
    • Able to work well in a team environment
    • Good reputation online
    • No posting of content on personal social media profiles that would conflict with professional image
    • Interest in a wide variety of topics, from cryptocurrency to virtual reality to eyeglasses

    Typical Daily Tasks:

    • Use of Teamwork, Slack, and Google Documents to plan and organize tasks
    • Collaboration with team members on every part of the process from ideation through promotion
    • Find interesting, shocking, and compelling facts and statistics related a given topic
    • Occasional other duties related to your internship

    This internship is paid, and may result in employment after the duration of the intern period.

    Infographic Design Internship

    What are we looking for in an infographic designer?
    You will need to have a strong understanding of:
  • Typography, and how to use it effectively
  • Well versed in Illustrator
  • Able to understand and interpret data presented in a text blueprint of an infographic, well enough to be able to visually represent that information in an easy to understand format.
  • Able to present visual data in a way that is compelling and accessible to the reader.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team on all aspects of the process, from ideation through promotion.

    Requirements:

    • Total of 240 hours – averages to 20 hours per week
    • Must have your own computer to use in the office with graphic design software
    • If the internship is fulfilling college credit, you must comply with all school requirements
    • Able to work well in a team environment
    • Good reputation online
    • No posting of content on personal social media profiles that would conflict with professional image
    • Skills and knowledge in graphic design
    • Interest in graphic design and eager to gain real world experience
    • Creative mind and eye for detail
    • Familiarity with Adobe suite, particularly Illustrator
    • Good grasp on typography and how to use it

    *If you have any of the following skills, these will be considered bonuses

    • Photography know-how
    • Video editing know-how
    • Familiarity with Photoshop, and After Effects

    Typical Daily Tasks:

    • Using Google Docs, Teamwork, and Slack to plan and organize tasks
    • Working with Researchers to plan and produce infographics for clients
    • Turning infographic text blueprints into effective visual infographic representations
    • Occasional other duties related to your internship
