The Importance Of Being Known In Your Own Backyard

Last week NowSourcing was named one of Greater Louisville Inc.’s Fast Dozen companies.  Each company had to meet certain criteria for growth, innovation, and employment.  It was truly an honor to be chosen, but it really drives home one of our biggest struggles- being known in our own backyard.

NowSourcing is a nationally recognized infographics design agency.  We’ve been ranked #1 in the infographics industry two years in a row.  Our clients are Fortune 500 companies, startups, nonprofits, and everything in between.  But sometimes people in Louisville don’t even know what an infographic is, let alone there’s a great infographic design agency is right in their own backyard.

We’ve worked hard to get where we are today.  NowSourcing started in 2005, though we didn’t really start focusing on infographics until around 2009.  We’ve led the industry in infographic innovation, including our most recent brain child, Infographic Whitepapers.  Long before any of this, we had to try new things and make mistakes.  We’ve learned through trial and error not only what makes a great infographic, but also the importance of the entire process from research to design to promotion.  Awards are great, but it takes a lot of work to get to that point.  There’s no such thing as an overnight success.

Still, we’re finding it challenging trying to get to know our Louisville neighbors better.  Infographics are an important part of content marketing, and it’s up to us to make sure our neighbors understand this.  The recognition we got from GLI as a Fast Dozen company is a great first step, but we still have a lot of ground to cover.  In the meantime, we’re looking forward to getting to know our Louisville neighbors a little better.
